Shell scripting with Bash – Rusty Myers & Jay Hoff

Be a born-again Mac admin by putting into practice some of Bash’s most useful features. We will go through a hands-on process of learning practical tips and concepts underlying shell scripting with Bash including command line editing and history, built-in commands, job control, I/O redirections, exit status, variables, arrays, conditional expressions, and functions.

rustyRusty is an Apple systems administrator in the Classroom and Lab Computing group at Penn State. He has been involved in systems management at Penn State since 2004. Rusty is responsible for managing the deployment and maintenance of Apple systems for the public labs at Penn State.

jayJay is a Linux systems admin in Classroom and Lab Computing.
