This session will help new and learning admins the ins and outs of packages and how to best utilize them. The session will cover different applications including software deployment, repackaging and script execution. In addition, we will cover several packaging tools including PackageMaker and Packages and discuss when each tool is appropriate. We will also discuss the importance of packages in portability; the more you have your package do, the easier it is to change deployment tools.
