Excerpt: IT work is hard. You need partners. Regardless of your role, finding support within and outside your organization is essential to moving forward. In this session we’ll explore the importance of partners, allies and confidants. Using examples pulled from over a decade of tech work in various types of organizations (small-business, educational, non-profit, etc.) we’ll look at different ways to engage with the people around you. Through thoughtful and deliberate communication with others, you can begin to locate individual goals within the vision of the larger community leading to increased support and a more effective team.

Vi Lynk – Creative Technology Consultant –

Working as a creative consultant I help individuals expand their technological abilities and empower them to connect with others in a collaborative way. I use various digital platforms such as video, photo, websites and audio clips to tell the stories of individuals and non-profits. I leverage the expansive reach of technology to facilitate ongoing dialogues between various communities, finding creative ways to bring unique voices to the conversations. With an artistic and relational approach technological challenges become opportunities to adapt and engage with a world increasingly connected through digital means.
