iOS Security Choices via an MDM / EMM

Speaker: Marc Grayson

Level: Foundational, Lecture

Excerpt: This talk will cover a majority of key iOS Security features that organizations will want to create and enforce policies around using an MDM / EMM.

Description: As a follow up to the 2014 Where MDMs on iOS Leave Off, this talk will expand on the iOS Security choices that can be implemented when using an MDM or an EMM. A heavy hand on enforcing many Restrictions might not always result in added security. Take for instance the ability to disable the Find My iPhone feature. A user might leverage the feature if their device has been misplace, but is still within reach. If the same user had to report the incident and wait for the turn around time of an organizations policies to kick in to conduct a location lookup, the device might be on its way to being resold. This talk will cover a majority of key iOS Security features that organizations will want to create and enforce policies around.
