iOS Deployment: A State Institution’s Steps to Embracing Mobile Devices and BYOD using MDM

IUP is currently using AirWatch to deploy/configure both university and personally owned (BYOD) iOS devices across our campus.  Listen as we discuss the process we went through to develop our unique mobile strategy and what we learned along the way.

 Cody Toy, IT Services – Indiana University of Pennsylvania

Cody ToyCody is a Systems Administrator in the Desktop Services Group at Indiana University of PA and is a member of the Patch Management & Desktop Solutions Team.  Along with providing operational support and management of the IUP’s Administrative Desktops (PC and Mac), Cody’s job responsibilities include management of the University’s fleet of mobile devices and MDM system, AirWatch.  Cody is also a certified AirWatch Enterprise Mobility Associate.

 Benjamin Dadson, IT Services – Indiana University of Pennsylvania

Ben DadsonBen is the director of the Desktop Services Group at Indiana University of PA and has been working in the IT world for over 21 years.  Ben’s group is responsible for management of the University’s 2,300+ Administrative Desktops as well as the creation/maintenance of OS images and virtual desktops.  Aside from desktop and laptop management, Ben’s group also is tasked with management of the University’s MDM system, AirWatch.  Experienced in both PC and Mac platforms, Ben is also a certified AirWatch Enterprise Mobility Associate.
